Don't Cha ("Hot Like Me" Mixes) is in the same family as the songs on Crimes against Nature, in that songs that were meant to be sung by a female are left intact and sung by Frank Rogala in a masculine voice. "What happened was I heard this song, and it struck me that it would have been right at home on Crimes against Nature," explains Rogala. "I was learning how to record with Pro Tools at the time, and the original of this song was written by and recorded by some of the music businesses best and brightest. So in this particular case, for the first time, I tried to break down the song piece by piece, and re-create it."
"Was a bit of a learning exercise made real by a commitment I made to myself to put it up for sale on iTunes when I was done." Rogala went on to explain, "At the time, I couldn't afford a lot of hard drive space so I'd recorded the entire project in 16-bit. What I learned was that by the time I got to the mix that things got a bit grainy. However, I learned a lot and apparently a lot of people enjoy this record."
